| |  | How to use RAID function in INTEL CHIPSET motherboard?

 |  | 1. Verify that the chipset is Intel and the name ends in “R”. i.e. ICH6R , ICH7R.
2. Download RAID DRIVER from INTEL or motherboard manufacturer, and place in floppy disk drive.
3. Confirm that within the motherboard BIOS, “AHCI” function is set to “ENABLE” if such function exists in its BIOS.
4. Begin OS installation of WINDOWS 2000 SP4 / XP SP1 system or above.
5. While OS disc begins to install, at bottom of screen the display line showing " SCSI or RAID installing third-party separately " follow the instructions of the system and push " F6 ".
6. Finish RAID DRIVER installation following the instructions, where the system will continue to install until installation is complete.
7. After installation is complete, the system will now support RAID. A green arrow-point cursor in the lower right corner will verify the installation, which can now also support hot-swapping.
